Gold Leaf

If you know me (or read my last post) then you know about my obsession with gold, or more specifically gold leaf. It started out years ago innocently enough while I was in design school. I was visiting my sister in Atlanta and we took a pass through the Saks outlet when I stumbled upon these a fabulous bamboo gold leafed hoop earrings.

This is me wearing them at my sister's birthday party

 

 

I got them for a steal and wore them incessantly with everything. From then on I was hooked. You will never find me wearing silver...even if its a bag I love. If it has silver hardware on it, I'm not interested.

Sure, it can be overdone:

But when not overdone there's just nothing like the sparkle it can bring to a room.
