Life and Stuff

Yesterday was  Greg's fist day out of bed in six days!!!  He had a nasty flu.  We went through with mountains of Ginger Ale, Bomb Pops, and Lysol Wipes.  Poor guy finally made it down to his office today and surprisingly Piper and I have made it through the week without catching "the sickness".  YAY!!!!

While he has been dead to the world I've been working on a few new projects that I can't wait to show you guys.

One of them is a sun room that started out with a broken sofa, and absolutely no light (you know how I feel about lighting!  There is lots to do in here but first we are starting with the light, sofa, and ottoman.  Today we took out the drab ceiling fan (hate) and installed an over sized lantern (love).  Here is a sneak peak of the awesome lantern I found:

 

You may recognize it...as its from Pottery Barn.  I'm not a huge fan of the store but this light was awesome and had an even "awesomer" price. 

 

We had originally selected this silver leaf Currey & Co. fixture:

 

 

I LOVE this light and love Currey & Co. but sometimes price wins out over looks (otherwise do you even know what my house would look like?  Sigh....)

 

Everything will be finished in a few weeks and I can't wait to show you guys the rest when it's done!
