Some More Fun Before and Afters

I know Y'all love a good before and after shot!  I love them too, but I usually don't post them because I'm not a fan of dying (as in most clients would kill me if I showed their "befores" to the general public, or really to anyone.)  But when I come across someone whom I know would be a good sport about it, a bell rings and a fairy get its wings.

Sooo....here ya go!

This is a sitting room part of a kitchen.  There was nothing  much there before, as you can see, and it wasn't all bad, but it needed some furniture.  And the accessories on the shelves needed some major freshening up.  The rest of the kitchen was being completely redone but these built-ins were to stay to save on the budget (as you know to completely re-do a kitchen you basically have to sell your firstborn.)

Are you dying?  A friend of mine said "I want to make out with that rug!"  I concur.  And the chairs.  Especially the chairs.  They are Taylor King chairs are made with the most comfortable down my tushie and back have ever experienced.  It's basically like sitting on a really pretty, expensive looking pillow.  The chairs are upholstered in Schumacher's Zanzibar Linen Print.  If you are ever looking for a traditional-ish (yes, that's a word, folks) style, colorful print, turn to Schumacher.  They have amazing prints. 

 

We did a few updates on the bookshelves which involved taking out A LOT  of "stuff" and replacing some of it with some more updated accessories.  We also replaced the hardware to match the rest of the new kitchen.
